Getting There

Where is FastForward 2017 held?

FastForward 2017 will be staged at one of the Netherlands’ most important venues for contemporary music, Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ in Amsterdam. The Muziekgebouw is an innovative space and place that strives to inspire, surprise and provide new and incredible cultural experiences; with vision and history that FastForward is proud and excited to be a part of.

How do I get there?

The Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ is located in the heart of Amsterdam, a short 6 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central Station, and a 30 minute taxi ride / 15 minute train from Schiphol Amsterdam Airport. It also has easy access to Tram 26 (2 minute walk) and includes a carpark underneath the building on Piet Heinkade. No matter if you’re coming to Amsterdam via plane, train, or automobile, the Muziekgebouw is nice and easy to get to.

By Air

There are dozens of flights into Schiphol Amsterdam Airport every day. If you’re flying on a budget, we can recommend EasyJet (which runs upwards of 8 flights a day from London Gatwick alone), but for all the best deals head to sites like Skyscanner.

By Train

Alternatively, if you prefer seeing more of the lovely Dutch countryside, Eurostar has dozens of services in and out of Amsterdam every day.

Getting Around Amsterdam

Once you’re in Amsterdam, it’s nice and easy to get around. The Muziekgebouw is only a short walk or tram ride east of the Amsterdam Centraal Stationsplein.

Where should I stay?

As the Muziekgebouw is located only a short walk away from the City Centre, there are many great accommodation options around, across all price ranges.
